Revelation — Chapters

Revelation 1 introduces John’s vision of Jesus, the seven churches in Asia, and the eschatological message of God’s ultimate sovereignty.

Revelation 2 presents four letters from Christ to the churches of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, and Thyatira, offering praise, admonishment, warnings against false teaching, and promises of reward for perseverance.

Revelation 4 portrays a divine vision of God’s throne in heaven, surrounded by 24 elders and four majestic beasts, all glorifying Him.

Revelation 5 records the awe‑filled vision of a sealed book and the revelation that the Lamb, identified as the Lion of Judah, is uniquely worthy to open it, prompting universal worship.

Revelation 6 opens the series of apocalyptic judgments, revealing four horsemen symbolizing conquest, war, famine, and death, followed by the martyrdom of believers, a great cosmic upheaval, and the fear of the earthly rulers.

After the seventh seal, a silence precedes the sounding of seven trumpets that unleash a series of apocalyptic judgments upon the earth.

Revelation 9 describes the unleashing of demonic forces—locusts from the bottomless pit and a host of horsemen from the Euphrates—to torment the ungodly for five months and then kill a third of humanity.

In Revelation 10, a mighty angel descends, speaks with thunderous proclamation, hands John a little book to eat that is sweet yet bitter, and commands him to prophesy again to the nations.

Revelation 11 portrays the ministry, death, and ascension of two divine witnesses, followed by a cosmic judgment and the ultimate victory of God's kingdom.

Revelation 13 portrays two beasts—one rising from the sea and one from the earth—symbolizing oppressive powers that heal a fatal wound, deceive with miracles, and compel worship through a destructive mark.

John sees the Lamb with 144,000 redeemed believers, angels proclaim the gospel and judgment, praise the faithful, and depict a dramatic harvest and winepress of wrath.

Revelation 15 presents the vision of seven angels carrying the final plagues, a sea of glass where victorious saints stand, and the opening of the heavenly tabernacle where God’s wrath is poured out.

Revelation 16 depicts the seven angels pouring out God’s wrath in a series of catastrophic plagues, culminating in a final earthquake and the ultimate judgment of the beast, the dragon, and the false prophet.

Revelation 17 presents John’s vision of a corrupt ‘great prostitute’—symbolic of a worldly system of sin—sitting on a beast, followed by an angel’s explanation of the beast’s symbolic meaning and the forthcoming judgment against this system.

The angel announces Babylon’s fall and the divine judgment upon its corrupt, wealthy society, culminating in its complete destruction.

Revelation 19 depicts the victorious return of the Lamb, who conquers the beast and gathers the faithful for the heavenly feast.

Revelation 20 portrays the binding of Satan for a thousand years, the first and second resurrection, the final judgment, and the ultimate defeat of evil.

Revelation 21 describes the creation of a new heaven and earth, the appearance of the New Jerusalem as God's dwelling with His people, and the ultimate triumph of God’s covenant promises.

Revelation 22 portrays a radiant New Jerusalem where a crystal‑clear river of life flows beside the tree of life, God and the Lamb reign eternally, and John is urged to proclaim Christ’s imminent return.
